Circling San Francisco Bay:
A Pilgrimage to Wild and Sacred Places

Sept. 19, 2009 through March 21, 2010.

Through walking meditations, shamanic practices, singing, guided visualizations, fire ceremony, and more, we’ll weave our personal stories into the history of seven sacred sites in the San Francisco Bay Area. Develop ways of communicating with the plant people, the stone people, trees, animals, birds, the shape of the land. Learn how to look for places of power wherever we find ourselves on the planet. Discover the unique properties, human and geological history, that are part of the lingering resonance of the past. Participate in healing the wounded land. Come into a sense of belonging, of your home and your relationship to the Bay Area. Personal healing and transformation

Cost: $45 per session, with 10% reduction for those with reduced incomes or those committing to the full circle
Reservations: contact Ginny Anderson at 650-323-4494 or freyjand@comcastnet

Journey #1: Kirby Cove, on the Marin Headlands
October 17, 10:00 AM to approximately 3:00PM

Four hundred feet below the cliff of the Marin Headlands, Kirby Cove lies within a protective arm of the Franciscan Complex. The battered visages of three rock formations rising from the water offshore toward the west end of the beach reflect centuries of clashes between land and sea. Late afternoons, they shelter the beach from the setting sun and pull an early blanket of dusk across the sand. A fragrant curtain of coastal sage covers the slopes of the hills next to the path, offering a powerful invitation to come into full presence with the land.
